Defining the new universal
What is the future of universal wayfinding in a digital age? How possible is to bring together a multisensory experience and merge it with a spatial identity?
For China Fortune (Shanghai) we began our design exercise by challenging the words 'signage' and 'visual identity' and we were interested in finding a holistic experiential identity by exploring semiotic & symbiotic relationship between English and Chinese, digital and analog, literal and symbolic.
We imagine a wayfinding system in which each individual regardless of their cultural background or special needs are treated as equal.
